The End

Well, you can tell from the fact that I ended on day 336 rather than 365 that I didn’t capture joy every day, as I had intended.  But I still consider my attempt a success.  I sure thought a lot more about my days, tried to remember sweet moments and pretty sights.  And I documented my beautiful baby girl.

I’m sure there will still be times when I capture joy as I continue to blog at www.peckofpickled.com, but I expect less 11pm struggles as I scan my brain for the contents of that day.  Anyways, thanks if you’ve been a reader.  I hope it inspired you to look at the joys around you.  There are many.

Merry Christmas and Happy Joy Capturing to all of you.

Day 336 : Monday

My sweet Jovie is one year old today. She is beyond a joy in my life. Where would I be without her.

I know her siblings love her, too.

Day 335 : Sunday

Exercise in the cold cleared my head, today.  Church is like the biggest challenge for me, and when I get home, I just feel like a disaster.  Whatever it was that I was stressed or angry about, I decided I should walk off, with my dogs, while wearing lots of warm layers. And it totally worked.  Thankful that I have a body that can walk two big dogs around my neighborhood.

Day 334 : Saturday

My oh-so-supportive husband let me audition for a play today.  And he didn’t complain once about being the sole guardian for most of the day.  What a sweetie.

Day 333 : Friday

My brother Cameron got married today and we had quite a party.  I really had no idea what party animals my children were–especially Tae and Keller, who were dancing all. night. long.

The highlight, though, was seeing how very much my brother loves his sweet wife.  It was adorable to see him dancing with her.

And then my parents danced together to “Come Sail Away” and I remembered how I used to see them dance at home together.  I’m glad that I have parents who so love each other. And that they can have crazy fun together.

Pretty good times for no alcohol.
